About the event
A hybrid event to heal the divide between those who have experienced abuse and professionals working to
protect us.
Clear Path UK (CIC) is a coalition of survivor lead services who are pooling resources and research to
create legislation and educated abuse reform.
To fix a problem, we believe we must first acknowledge it and discover its root causes.
“We must stop pulling people out of the water. We must go upstream and find out why they are falling in.” -
Desmond Tutu
At Clear Path UK we now know why. We have also identified realistic, achievable solutions.
With prevention, action, trust, and healing at the core of everything we do, we aim to
revolutionise the way abuse is tackled in the UK and engineer a progressive, achievable and sustainable
system.
Over the last few years our award winning event has highlighted issues and concerns from across the public and abuse
sectors, headlining high profile speakers such as Lisa Surridge (National VAWG taskforce, Clare Waters
(British Psycological Society), Sharon Livermore (Domestic Abuse Education) Jeremy Indika (Something to Say),
Eve Horne (The Unheard) and Fiona Miller (Watford Womens Centre).
Since we formed, we have campaigned and gained the support of public figures and officials such as MP
Andrew Bowie, Dame Eleanor Laing, Fiona Kennedy, Nadeem Shaikh, and Chris Luff MBE.
Our 2024 event
This time, we’re expanding our conference to a full two-day event, and taking our resources and campaign
to Leeds, West Yorkshire.
Delegates will be welcomed at ST Georges Centre, 62 St Georges Rd, Middleton, Leeds City Centre,
LS10 4TQ, on the 10TH & 11TH of October 2024.
Doors will open at 9am on both days, and the first talk will commence at 10am. Doors will close on Thursday
at 5.30pm and on Friday at 6pm after our closing awards ceremony and live entertainment.
We will welcome 400 physical attendees and over 1000 virtual attendees over the course of the two days.
Delegates will enjoy a morning snack with coffee break, delicious lunch (provided by corporate cheeses,
based near Leeds), and afternoon snack with coffee break.
Our story will be told through the collective voices of influencers, survivors, and professionals in the field,
to inspire, educate and empower.
Each talk will have an element of lived experience, wider societal issues, and a call to action for services
and organisations who can directly impact the situation in a positive way.
Through this series of talks, resources and insights into obstacles faced and available solutions will be
offered.
We will show delegates how the different types of abuse are caused, linked and ultimately, how they can
be prevented, or their impact reduced.
Our attendee list will include MPs, members of the judiciary, police commissioners, Solicitors, SM influencers, advocates, and
leaders in child protection organisations such as social services.
